| An RTMS, feeding its contact closures through
the RIC Interface Card, provides the ideal replacement for failed
loops. It can be mixed-and-matched with all existing field equipment,
requires no software changes, and is deployed without lane closures.
The RTMS and Interface Card are the ideal migration path
for projects currently using Loop Detectors, to non-intrusive
detection. Gradual replacement of loop detectors by RTMS radars
(as part of maintenance) is possible at low risk, requiring
